Eco-friendly dyes are mixed by hand and stamped in precise alignment, often in layers to build the design. The fabric is then washed, dried, and quality-checked, resulting in textiles that celebrate sustainability, human rhythm, and individual artistry.

We’re working with Saheli women to launch Saheli Kapas, a Cotton Project, to support and empower female farmers at the root of the supply chain. Saheli Women believe true fashion starts with the Earth and the women who nurture and farm it.


The pilot begins with five women and their farms, providing them with training, direct income, and ongoing support. By offering access to quality seeds and low-water sustainable practices, we aim to uplift communities while honouring Mother Earth.

"Love love love this dress. The pattern is pretty and neutral enough to wear a lot, and can be accessorized in so many ways, and worn in several seasons. Dress is very comfortable on; i was unsure re sizing, it being my first time ordering from DOI, and Large was all that was available in this dress. I normally wear a Medium. For reference: I am 5’7, 145lb, athletic lean build from years of yoga. The large actually was perfect, as I have wide bony shoulders & long arms & legs, and I like my things on the looser, slouchy side. Glad that this is ethical slow fashion, and some of the money goes toward bettering the lives of Hindu women, that makes me even happier.
